The working mechanism of ForceFieldFabric Protector is as follows: When a spill or soil contacts an unprotected fabric surface, the fibers within the fabric act like microscopic straws, drawing the spill into the surface. However, applying ForceFieldFabric Protector creates an extremely thin polymer barrier that prevents spills and soils from actually contacting the surfaces of the fibers. This allows spills to simply lie on the surfaces, making them easy to blot away before they have the opportunity to create a stain.

As for the application, it is recommended to always test for compatibility by applying ForceFieldFabric Protector to an inconspicuous area of the surface to be treated. For best results, apply to new or clean surfaces. Since this is a solvent-based product, proper caution should be exercised by applying either outdoors or in a well-ventilated area. Avoid spraying near flame, sparks, heated surfaces, or other potential sources of ignition, and excessive airborne mist. Do not apply using high-pressure spraying equipment. Hold the sprayer 6 to 12 inches away from the surface to be treated and spray a sufficient quantity of ForceFieldFabric Protector to evenly wet the surface. The recommended coverage is 1 ounce per 5 to 6 square feet of surface. Treated surfaces are dry to the touch in 2 to 4 hours and completely cured in 24 hours.
